Alcohol Addiction in Japan

I would like to talk about something serious.

Alcoholism is really unpleasant in Japan. Sometimes people in the foreign population does not realize it until it is too late.

Here is a message for those seeking help but does not no what to do.

In Japan there is less acknowledgement of alcoholism for most of the Japanese society. In fact, binge drinking to the point of blacking out has been normalized. We can also buy shots of alcohol from vending machines and there are similar standup bars to serve many workers who have limited outlets to cope with the stress of life and this can be you too. If you feel this is your situation, you should seek help immediately.

Reach out to friend or colleagues to seek the help you need. There is also AA in Japan, too.
